Albania to Increase Military Presence in Region Next Year
The Minister of Defence, Niko Peleshi, during his speech at the Socialist Party Congress, has stated that starting next year, Albania will increase defence troops in KFOR and in the region.
Peleshi stated that "Our contribution to peace in the region will be increased from next year with more troops in KFOR Kosovo, but also in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania."
Among other things, the minister also focused on military education, where he stated that military training courses in security and defence have begun to take place in English with students from many NATO countries.
"Military education will be a permanent component of our defence development not only to provide the necessary education for the military, but also to cultivate character and a sense of patriotism. The internationalization of military education to contribute knowledge to countries in the region and beyond has already begun.
