Albanian, Kosovo Customs, Closer Cooperation
The Director General of Albanian Customs, Besmir Beja, met in Prishtina with the Director General of Kosovo Customs, Agron Llugaliu, in the context of further strengthening cooperation between the two customs administrations.
During the meeting, the very good relations and the cooperation consolidated over the years were reconfirmed, emphasizing the advancement of joint processes and the modernization of customs services in order to facilitate trade and increase institutional efficiency.
The parties discussed a number of issues of strategic importance, including the facilitation of customs procedures, digitalization and electronic data exchange, strengthening risk management, and deepening operational cooperation in the field.
Special attention was also paid to facilitating the movement of goods and vehicles at border points, with the aim of reducing waiting times and increasing transparency in customs processes.
Beja stated that the main objective remains to bring cooperation between the two administrations to a more advanced stage, in the function of legal trade, security and regional economic development.
For his part, Llugaliu, praised the existing relations and reiterated the commitment to deepening institutional cooperation, especially in the field of digitalization and information exchange.
