Albanian Man Found Shot Dead in Rural Greece, Police Launch Investigation
An Albanian national was found dead after being shot in a rural area near Burnia, in the wider Kalamata region, according to local authorities.
Preliminary findings suggest the victim was killed with a hunting firearm at close range. Police said the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and are under active investigation.
The man was reportedly working at a cattle farm at the time of the incident. Authorities have not yet established a clear motive.
Greek police have taken in two Greek nationals who were the ones that discovered the body. The two individuals reportedly lived in the same residence as the victim. Investigators are currently examining their potential involvement in the case.
Law enforcement officials are also searching for a third individual believed to be connected to the incident.
