All drivers who want to obtain or renew their licenses must be interviewed for their knowledge, starting in December.

General Directorate of Road Transportation has announced that drivers will be asked about road safety issues such as caring for children and passengers in the cabin, attention to pedalists and pedestrians, behavior in traffic and urban areas, hotspots, orientations on the new measures from the changes in the Road Code.

The citizen will also be listed the fines he received while driving. Drivers will be informed about this new procedure through a brochure that will be published "online".

“Every year about 100 thousand citizens renew their driving license! Given the growing number of road users, changes in Albanian legal acts and European directives and the need to update drivers of road vehicles, increasing, DPSHTRR from December 2021 (months with high flow of applications and the arrival of many emigrants) will start the MANDATORY provision of the most essential knowledge and information on road safety, care for children and passengers in the cabin, attention to pedalists and pedestrians, behavior in traffic and urban areas, danger hotspots, orientations on measures news from the changes in the Road Code and the Regulation of KRR (VKM153), innovations from the Albanian Automation, ARA, Insurance, Traffic Police, First Aid, municipalities, import of road vehicles and obligations / rights!

A brochure with the obligation to recognize and sign up for information, free of charge (to be published online), prepared by professionals in the field, a short verification interview and an appeal-reminder of the history of the measures / fines taken by the person, will to be the NEWS of the end of the year for all applicants who will renew, duplicate or will be issued a driving license at the counters of DPSHTRR”, announced the Road Transportation Directorate.
