The government will pour into the budget of the Ministry of Education and Sports a fund of 160 million ALL for sports federations as well as for the reward of elite athletes. 

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers taken today, it is stated that "the fund of 160,000,000 (one hundred and sixty million) ALL is added to the Ministry of Education, for financing the activity of sports federations and rewarding elite athletes". 

According to the decision, the fund of 160 million ALL will be covered by the reserve fund of the state budget, approved for 2022. 

Government decision: 

AN EXTRA FUND TO THE 2022 BUDGET, APPROVED FOR THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SPORTS 

Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution, Articles 5 and 45, of Law no. 9936, dated 26.6.2008, "On the management of the budget system in the Republic of Albania", as amended, and Article 14, of Law no. 115 / 2021, "On the budget of 2022", amended, on the proposal of the Minister of Education and Sports, the Council of Ministers decided: 

To the Ministry of Education and Sports, in the approved budget for 2022, in the item "Current expenditures", in article 604 "Other internal current transfers", of the budget program "Development of sports", the fund of 160 000 000 ( one hundred and sixty million) ALL is added, for financing the activity of sports federations and rewarding elite athletes. 

The financial effect, of 160,000,000 (one hundred and sixty million) ALL, to be covered by the reserve fund of the state budget, approved for 2022. 

The Ministry of Education and Sports and the Ministry of Finance and Economy are in charge of implementing this decision. This decision enters into force after its publication in the "Official Gazette".
