Appellate Court Postpones Decision on DP's Statute
Court of Appellate has postponed this Thursday the decision on the statute of the Democratic Party (DP).
Albaniandailynews.com learned that the decision has been postponed because DP's lawyer, Indrit Sefa, did not appear at the hearing and asked for a postponement.
However, it is learned that the next session will take place on November 10.
On Thursday, November 3, the Court of Appeal had set the date of the hearing to consider the appeal of the Democratic Party, against the decision taken by the court on March 18, 2022, when it registered the statutory changes of the DP Assembly of July 17, 2021.
In its appeal, the DP said that the Court should have considered the other request of the Democratic Party, for the registration of changes in the Statute of the Assembly of December 18.
"Following the communications on the activity of the Tirana Court of Appeal, we inform you that today's court session that was planned to take place, the request of the Democratic Party, did not take place, because the legal representative filed a request to postpone the session. The next court hearing is scheduled for 10.11.2022, 09:30" the official announcement of the Court stated.
