Captaincy of Vlora has announced Thursday the cancellation of sailing for small and fishing vessels, due to rainy weather and waves at sea as it revealed that the situation will improve after October 8.

In its notification, the Captaincy informed the operators of small vessels of the deteriorating situation and urged them to take measures to secure the vessels at the landed sites and prevent events and situations from October 7, 2021 to October 8, 2021.

“Based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation in the bay of Vlora and outside it for the following 24 hours on 07-08.10.2021 in the direction J-JL in the force 6-7bft / 10-15m / s until at 7-8 bft / 15-20m / s and wave height up to 1.50-3.50 meters:

IT IS PROHIBITED TO ISSUE PERMISSION FOR THE LAUNCH OF ALL SMALL VESSELS, FISHING VESSELS AND TAKING MEASURES.

All fishing vessels and small vessels are notified of the deteriorating situation and measures should be taken to secure the vessels at the landed sites and prevent events and situations during the dates 07-08.10.2021.

The improvement of the deteriorated meteorological situation in the bay of Vlora and outside it for small vessels and fishing vessels will be after 08.10.2021 / 22:00”, as quoted from Vlora Captaincy’s release.
