Members of the Bajri family submitted a criminal complaint to the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) against the socialist MP, Mariana Koceku.

According to the complaint, the Bajri family challenges statements made by Koçeku on social media, arguing that the Socialist lawmaker publicly threatened to “destroy” the family and implied that its members had threatened her relatives.

The complaint alleges that Koçeku’s claims are false and unsupported by any evidence. The family maintains that no proof has been presented to substantiate the accusation that it threatened the MP or her family members.

The filing further notes that several members of the Bajri family are currently incarcerated and therefore, according to the complaint, had no practical possibility of carrying out the actions attributed to them.

The complaint has been submitted to SPAK, which is responsible for investigating serious corruption and organized crime cases in Albania. Authorities have not yet publicly commented on the allegations contained in the filing.
