Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation at Tirana Shopping Mall, No Explosives Found

A bomb threat triggered panic on Saturday evening at the Toptani shopping center in Tirana, leading to an immediate evacuation of the building and a large-scale police response.

According to authorities, the alert was raised around 20:10, when a security chief at the mall reported receiving an email warning that an explosive device had been planted inside the premises and would detonate at 20:30.

Police services, along with specialized anti-terror and explosive disposal units, were quickly deployed to the scene. A thorough search of the shopping center was carried out, but no suspicious or illegal items were found.

Officials confirmed that the threat is believed to have been sent via email, and investigations are ongoing to identify the individual responsible and clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The situation has since been brought under control, with no injuries or damages reported.
