Briken Calja reacted after finishing in fourth place at the Tokyo Olympics, where only 1 kg separated him from securing a medal. 

Calja writes on social networks, that from this Olympics, Albania came out with its head held high, achieving a historic result with 341 kg lifted in two races. 

He emphasizes that he is proud of the achievements he has made in the three Olympics, in London, being ranked 6th, in Rio 5th and now in Tokyo 4th, which is the best result in the level personal and national. 

"1 kg away from the Olympic medal, fourth place and a historic result at the Tokyo Olympics. We came out proud and proud from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, achieving a historic result with 341 kg in doubles for the Albanian weightlifting. The strength of the Albanian never dies, it is deeply rooted in the veins and explodes in the most crucial moments in life. 

This is a sport, sometimes it takes a millimeter to reach the goal of the medal, but I am extremely proud that during my career I keep the three best results in the history of Albanian weightlifting, 6th in London 2012, 5th in Rio 2016 and 4th in Tokyo 2020. Now is the time to calmly wait for the result with the final ranking after the anti-doping tests.
