Business Dispute Allegedly Behind Sarandë Shooting, Injured Man Tells Investigators

New details have emerged following the violent incident in Sarandë, where the injured man, Kostandin Vogli, told investigators that the conflict with suspected gunman Viktor Ruçi stemmed from disagreements over the management of a beach bar business.

According to Vogli’s testimony, tensions escalated after he was previously imprisoned, during which time Ruçi allegedly removed Vogli’s brother from the business operation. Investigators say the dispute centered on the division of profits and the alleged failure to honor an agreement between the two men.

“We had an agreement, but he did not respect it. After I was imprisoned, Ruçi removed my brother from the business. Our conflicts started over the business money,” Vogli reportedly told investigators.

He further stated that both parties had invested in the beach bar and that profits were supposed to be shared equally. According to his account, the two had attempted to meet in order to resolve the dispute after a previous argument failed to produce a solution.

Authorities continue to search for Ruçi, who has been declared wanted in connection with the incident, while investigations into the shooting remain ongoing.
