Businessman Shot Dead in Southern Albania Attack
Shootings shook southern Albania on Thursday evening after a well-known local businessman was killed in an apparent gun attack in the city of Sarandë.
According to local reports, the incident took place in the area of Gjashtë, where 66-year-old Rexhep Ismaili was fatally shot.
Ismaili, identified as the owner of a fuel station, was known in the city’s business community and had also previously served as head of the “Çamëria” association.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding the suspects or the motive behind the attack. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing.
