Cheaper Fuel Prices Starting in January

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced on Friday that starting in January 2027, diesel and gasoline will cost over Lek 30 less (Euro 0.33) per liter.

Ibrahimaj emphasized that this will result in lower costs for citizens, transport operators, farmers, and businesses, while also having a positive impact on product prices.

"When you fill your car with 50 litres, it means you will pay about Lek 1,500 less each time. This policy benefits transport operators, farmers, and everyone who uses a car daily to commute to work. And when transportation costs less, goods in stores will also cost less, as production costs decrease," she stated.

The Minister stressed that the Transparency Board will ensure that this price reduction is reflected at every fuel station.
