Police Supervision Agency (PSA) has arrested 7 people and have been handcuffed by the police because they are accused of the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty", "Active/ passive corruption" and "Smuggling of other goods". 

According to the Agency, citizens with initials J. H., B. H. and F. G were handcuffed after being caught transporting smuggled food goods from the Border Crossing Point "Qafë Thanë", avoiding customs duties. 

Following the investigation, the police arrested 4 other people: 
- Inspector A. H., 43 years old, Assistant / Control Specialist at BCP Qafë Thanë. 
- Inspector F. M., 38 years old, Service Corps at BCP Qafë Thanë. 
- V. B., 53 years old, Customs Officer, near the Customs Branch Qafë Thanë 
- J. P., 45 years old, Customs Officer, near the Customs Branch Qafë Thanë 

From the investigative actions carried out and the examination of the film footage, it has been proven that the police officers of the Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point in cooperation with the Customs officers, with their actions and inactions, contrary to the law and against monetary rewards, have favored above citizens in the passage of smuggled goods without carrying out the customs clearance procedure. 

As material evidence, 3 vehicles, 9 mobile phones, quantities of monetary values ??illegally obtained from the activity of smuggling in the workplace, a significant amount of various food and beverages, as well as other goods were seized. 

Meanwhile, the materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office for further action at the Pogradec Court of First Instance. 

"Police Supervision Agency in the framework of the operation "Dinars" has arrested in flagrante delicto 2 police officers of the Border Crossing Point Qafë Thanë, 2 customs officers and 3 citizens for the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty", "Active / passive corruption" and "Smuggling of other goods" ”. 

In the framework of the fight against smuggling and abusive actions at border crossings, from the information received operatively from PSA Korça, in close cooperation with the structures of fight against economic crime and the operational unit of the Local Police Directorate of Korça, caught in flagrante delicto citizens J. H. , B. H. and F. G. 

The above-mentioned citizens were caught red-handed while traveling in various vehicles from the services entering the territory of the Republic of Albania, transporting smuggled food goods from the Border Crossing Point "Qafë Thanë", avoiding customs duties. Following the investigative actions, it was proved that the above citizens were favored against the sums of money by police officers in cooperation with customs officers on duty at this border crossing point. 

Regarding the above by PSA in cooperation with DVP Korça, under the direction of the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Pogradec was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" provided by Articles 248 and 259 of the Criminal Code, for: 

- Inspector A. H., 43 years old, Assistant / Control Specialist at BCP Qafë Thanë. 
- Inspector F. M., 38 years old, Service Corps at BCP Qafë Thanë. 
- V. B., 53 years old, acting Customs Officer, at the Customs Branch Qafë Thanë 
- J. P., 45 years old, acting Customs Officer, at the Qafë Thanë Customs Branch 

Also, following the preliminary investigative actions, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses "Smuggling of other goods" and "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions" provided by Articles 174 and 244 of the Criminal Code: 

- J. H., 37 years old, resident in Librazhd 
- B. H., 38 years old, resident in Librazhd 
- F. G., 22 years old, resident of Librazhd 

From the investigative actions carried out and the examination of the film footage, it has been proven that the police officers of the Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point in cooperation with the Customs officers, with their actions and inactions, contrary to the law and against cash rewards, have favored the citizens. above in the passage of contraband goods without carrying out the customs clearance procedure. 

As material evidence, 3 vehicles, 9 mobile phones, quantities of monetary values ??illegally obtained from the activity of smuggling in the workplace, a significant amount of various food and beverages, as well as other goods were seized.
