German Media Analysis on Jet Bank: First in the Western Balkans, Within the EU Context
The prestigious Deutsche Welle has dedicated an analysis to Jet Bank, highlighting it as the first fully digital bank in Albania and in the region. This development is seen as an important step toward modernizing the financial sector.
Founded and led by Fatbardha Rino, Jet Bank operates without physical branches and offers entirely online services, built around the new needs of customers. Deutsche Welle describes this model as a clear shift from traditional banking toward a simpler, more user-oriented experience.
“In general, I tend to take the view that it doesn’t matter whether I am a woman or a man at the head of Jet Bank, but rather the experience built over the years and the best teams,” Rino emphasized.
When asked why this development is so important at this moment, Fatbardha Rino stated:
“Now we are seeing a very good momentum for the banking system, not only for technological development, but also due to the growing demand that Albanians have for the services they receive from banks.”
With this model, Jet Bank is positioning itself as a key player in financial transformation in Albania, at a time when the country is advancing toward European standards and EU integration.
