GP Meets with the Secretary of the EJN, Facilitating International Cooperation in Criminal Matters in Focus

Today, the General Prosecutor Mr. Olsian Çela held a meeting with the Secretary of the European Judicial Network (EJN), Mr. Hugh Dockry.
The meeting focused on the network’s role in facilitating international cooperation in criminal matters, while also exploring opportunities to further strengthen and expand its contribution in this area.
One of the key issues addressed was the need to appoint a national correspondent to ensure more effective coordination among the contact points. The opportunities offered by the network were also highlighted, not only in terms of facilitating rapid communication between parties, but also in supporting the progress of parallel investigations, particularly in cases involving cross-border crime and beyond.
The General Prosecutor expressed the institution’s commitment to further strengthening the engagement of the European Judicial Network (EJN) in improving international cooperation aimed at striking criminal activities. In this regard, the Secretary of the European Judicial Network also offered his full cooperation and support.
