Albania's General Director of State Police, Skënder Hita, has ordered the immediate deployment of the RENEA Special Forces to Kamza following a fatal shooting that left one man dead and prompted a large-scale manhunt for the suspected gunman.
The suspect, identified by police as 26-year-old Sadik Llanaj, is accused of opening fire during an altercation that took place around midday on Monday. Authorities say the dispute escalated into gun violence, resulting in the fatal injury of 28-year-old Ardian Baloshi.
Baloshi suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was rushed to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana. Despite emergency efforts by medical staff, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the facility.

According to local reports, the confrontation is believed to have originated from a disagreement related to an amateur football match. Investigators have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances that led to the violence.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene. RENEA units were dispatched to the Paskuqan area in support of local police officers from Police Station No. 5. Security forces have launched an extensive search operation aimed at locating and arresting Llanaj.
