Rigels Gjinaj, the 34-year-old Albanian who, on the evening of September 16, 2022, shot dead his compatriot Emanual Rroku, in a bar in Milan, risks life imprisonment. 

Public Prosecutor Ciro Caramore requested the maximum sentence for him from the Court. 

On the evening of September 16, 2022, Rock was sitting at the outdoor tables of a bar along Via Allea Comunale in Turbigo. There arose an argument with Rigels, which culminated when the latter pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and fired at least three times. 

A bullet hit his 23-year-old compatriot, leaving him dead, while two others were injured. 

According to the incident, reconstructed by the investigations, a man had hit a woman inside the bar. Some of those present had intervened to stop him, while Rigels had intervened to protect his friend from that crowd. 

During the fight, a volley of bullets were fired from the 34-year-old's gun, and one of them hit Rroku in the carotid artery. 

The 23-year-old died shortly after arriving at the hospital in Legnano, while the 34-year-old was admitted to the hospital due to the severe beatings he received during the fight. 

The expertise found that the fatal shot was fired from a distance of 25 to 45 centimeters, hit Rroku's pendant and was deflected towards his neck. 

"I didn't want to kill anyone, I would like to go back and erase all this pain," said Rigels, who ended up in prison for murder.
