Italy Arrests Albanian Youth for Shooting at Ex-Girlfriend, Her New Boyfriend

A 21-year-old Albanian, Ibrahim Rudi, resident in Gallipoli, Italy, has attempted to kill his ex-girlfriend and her partner by firing 16 times at them with a machine gun, reported Tuesday the Italian media.

Based on the reports, the Albanian was stopped by the Carabinieri immediately after the event. They stated that he fired automatic volleys at several people, including his ex-girlfriend.

Thankfully no one was injured, and the investigators believe that the young man of Albanian origin shot only to intimidate the girl and not to hurt her.

“The 21-year-old was stopped by the carabinieri who at dawn in Gallipoli allegedly exploded more than 16 machine gun shots in the direction of a group of six or seven people among whom there was also his ex-girlfriend in the company of his new partner. Nobody would be hurt.

According to what is learned, the accusation that could be contested to the 21-year-old is the attempted multiple murder. Some shots, all exploded at eye level, stuck in the columns of the Coppola residence, in via Kennedy, inside which there is also a commercial gallery.

The 21-year-old arrested is Rudi Ibrahim, a resident of Galatina, already known to the police. He was stopped in Novoli, in the company of another boy, the same one with whom he arrived in via Kennedy”, revealed the Ansa news agency.
