Kurti Accuses Serbians of Trying to Kill Kosovo Policemen

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has commented the attacks on the Kosovo Police in the north of the country, which are suspected to have come from the territory of Serbia.

After paying homage to the statue of former KLA commander Zahir Pahaziti, Kurti told reporters that the attacks were aimed at killing members of the Kosovo Police. He has requested an investigation into the case.

"We have strongly condemned this attack which was a terrorist attack since bullets and grenades were fired at members of the police who were lucky to suffer only material damage. It is up to the law enforcement agencies to investigate those who attacked in order to solve the case but also to assess the security situation and what they should do next in order to prevent such attacks. They are not attacks on material goods, nor on citizens, but attacks on police officers who intended to kill. but thankfully we had no casualties. Law enforcement will investigate. With the illegal structures of Serbia and organized crime, there will be no gram of tolerance from the Government of Kosovo, the police, etc", said Kurti.
