Two Injured in Shooting in Tirana’s Laprakë Area, Police Say
Two people were injured in a shooting reported Tuesday evening in the Laprakë area of Tirana, according to Albanian police.
The two men, identified by police as 39-year-old Bledar Dauti and 35-year-old Dashamir Tahiri, were taken to hospital after allegedly suffering gunshot wounds. One of the victims reportedly sustained an injury to the leg.
Police said both men are currently out of danger.
According to preliminary information, the shooting is believed to have taken place in the “Fusha” area of Laprakë at around 9:20 p.m. local time on September 8, 2026.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving the report and are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and identify and apprehend the suspected shooter or shooters.
The investigation remains ongoing.
