The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, resigned this Wednesday evening after months of public critics by the Prime Minister Edi Rama on how is performing as a mayor.

Dredha was elected on 2023, replacing another mayor strongly criticized by Rama, although socialist, Dritan Leli.

He gave no details, but the decision came few months after the discontent of Rama for his performance.

Just days ago, PM criticized him how he can employee in different posts in municipality people that do not suit for their job.

"The Cadastre of Vlora is the most meaningful symbol of filth and corruption in history. Not one but 11 directors have been changed there. After all the resources of the wing were exhausted, we have moved on to the other wing to take over. Putting people out of profile is unacceptable," these were Rama's criticisms of Dredha.
