The demolition of illegal constructions in Saranda continues within the operation "Our Coast", which aims at freeing Albanian beaches from illegal buildings. 

Some buildings, mainly one-story, were demolished this Tuesday morning by IKMT vehicles. Operation "Our Coast" began in early June. Following the recent amendments to the Criminal Code, the punishment for those who build without permission has been toughened. 

For the first time, the law provides for penalties not just for the entity, but for the entire construction chain. In terms of territorial control and protection, Albania is expected to enter a new phase through the use of super-intelligent drones and other high-tech equipment.
