Police Continue Hunt for Armed Jewelry Store Robbers in Kamza
New details have emerged regarding the armed robbery of a jewelry store that took place a day earlier in the Kamza area, near Albania’s capital Tirana.
According to preliminary estimates, the value of the stolen jewelry is believed to be around 7 million ALL.
The robbery occurred in broad daylight when two masked and armed individuals entered the jewelry store, seized valuable items, and fled the scene shortly afterward.
Security camera footage has reportedly helped authorities trace part of the suspects’ route, while Tirana Police continue checks and verification efforts aimed at identifying and locating the perpetrators.
Investigators say the suspects escaped toward the Zallherr area using a motorcycle and remained masked throughout all recorded surveillance footage.
At one point during their escape, the suspects reportedly lost control and fell from the motorcycle before continuing their getaway.
Police have also escorted several individuals with prior criminal records from the area for questioning to determine whether they may be connected to the robbery.
Despite ongoing searches and interrogations, authorities have not yet identified the perpetrators. Investigators are continuing to analyze evidence collected at the scene, where it was confirmed that gold and silver items were stolen.
The jewelry store employee has also been questioned by investigators. She reportedly stated that she did not come face-to-face with the robbers because she was in the back section of the store at the time of the incident and not near the counter.
