Police Launch Action to Remove Illegal Objects from Coastline Public Spaces
The State Police and the Municipal Police have launched an action this Wednesday to vacate the public spaces, which have been occupied on the beach of Durrës.
It is learned that the sunbeds and tents of three subjects have been seized so far. The action is taking place from the Dajlan Bridge to Iliria, as well as from the Agait Stream to the Kavaja Rock, according to the information received in three sectors.
Police action is underway for all those entities that have occupied beach territory without official permission.
The day before, the Prime Minister Edi Rama warned the businesses to remove the tents themselves and the materials they have placed without permission, otherwise they would be seized and would not be given to them anymore.
"I want to call today on the subjects that are not in order with the documentation to leave the areas that do not belong to them by law. The State Police will be present along the entire coastline and will confiscate any umbrellas and sunbeds and anything that does not comply with the subject documents. The beaches belong to the citizens and as long as the subjects are part of tourism, the beach is also theirs", said Rama a day ago.
