President of the Republic Ilir Meta visited this Friday the Arbëresh village of Pallagorio. Meta writes that this is the birthplace of one of the prominent figures of the Renaissance Anselmo Lorecchio, contributor to the declaration of Independence of Albania. 

He emphasizes that the Arbëresh are committed to protecting this valuable cultural heritage, the common property of our two peoples. 

"In the wonderful Arbëresh village of bells, Pallagorio, the birthplace of one of the prominent figures of the National Renaissance, Anselmo Lorecchio, contributor to the declaration of Independence of Albania. 

We are proud of the centuries-old commitment of the Arbëresh to preserve the language, culture, tradition and religious rites and we are grateful to the Italian authorities, who, as evidenced by the Mayor of Pallagorio, Umberto Lorecchio, are committed to protecting this valuable cultural heritage", writes President Meta.
