Six Victims, Four Injured in Road Accidents in Just 24h

Another accident was reported this Friday in the Korca-Pogradec road, bringing the number of grave collisions in around 24 hours to 5, with a total number of victims 6, while 4 people were injured.

Albaniandailynews.com learned that a vehicle hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road. The wounded man was transported to the Korca hospital in a critical condition but couldn't survive the injuries. 

The most fatal accident was recorded on Thursday around 18:00 in the east-part of Great Ring of Tirana, where three persons lost their lives. They were 20-year-old Klevis Rucaj, 23-year-old Sikela Perroj and 22-year-old Eisilda Abedini, travelling in a Audi A8 car at around 200 km/h when they couldn't reduce the speed near a roundabout, colliding with barriers and walls. In the end, Audi hit another vehicle, injuring three other people, who fortunately survived.

While during the midday of this Friday a bicyclist was collided to death by a heavy vehicle in Durres. The driver of the vehicle identified as Petrit Pashaj was escorted to Police station. 

Then a 30-year-old girl identified as Rovena Cara lost the control of her vehicle in Kavaja, ending up in a ditch and receiving injuries that caused her death. 

While on the afternoon today, a 7-year-old Afghan girl was hit by a vehicle in Shengjin. The driver left the scene, but was identified and arrested by the Police. 

The figures speak for themselves, while people must better respect road traffic rules, just like the authorities must take better measures to reduce and avoid such episodes resulting in Albanian people deaths.
