Three Protesters Detained After Violent Clashes During Opposition Demonstration

Police have detained three protesters following violent incidents that erupted on the main boulevard in Tirana, after officers blocked demonstrators from advancing toward the Ministry of Interior.

The number of detentions is significantly lower compared to previous opposition protests.

During the demonstration organized by the Democratic Party, several violent incidents were reported, including protesters throwing stones at police officers, as well as Molotov cocktails and fireworks directed toward security forces.

As a result of the clashes, three police officers were injured and transported to the Military Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation as tensions between protesters and law enforcement remain high.
