Turkey to Assist Management of IPARD Funds
The Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (AZHBR) and the Agricultural and Rural Development Support Institution of Turkey (TKDK) have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the exchange of experience and increase capacities in the management of IPARD funds.
The agreement was signed in the Turkish capital Ankara, between the Director of the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (AZHBR) Ardita Kuçi and the Director of the Rural Development Support Agency of Turkey (TKDK), Ali Recep Nazl?.
The agreement aims to exchange best practices in the administration of funds, strengthen institutional capacities, and improve the implementation processes of support programs for rural development.
Kuçi said that special attention is paid to increasing the efficiency in the absorption of IPARD funds, through training and joint activities for the relevant staff.
This cooperation is considered an important step towards strengthening standards and increasing the impact of funds in support of farmers and rural enterprises in the country, within the framework of approximation with European Union standards.
