Albanian police have arrested two wanted men who were allegedly hiding at a private residence in the coastal village of Dhërmi, authorities announced on Friday.

The arrests were carried out as part of a police operation codenamed "Rrjetet" (Networks), led by the Vlorë Local Police Directorate with the support of the State Police Headquarters.

The suspects, identified as Granit Pepnikaj, 29, and Xhoni Hitaj, 31, were apprehended in the Drimadhë area after authorities tracked their whereabouts through proactive investigative methods.

According to police, both men were wanted under separate arrest warrants issued by the Tirana Court on suspicion of computer fraud. Pepnikaj was placed under a pretrial detention order on April 30, 2026, while Hitaj was subject to the same measure under a court decision issued on April 13, 2026.
