U.S. Ambassador Eric Wendt met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to discuss strengthening cooperation between the United States and Albania, the U.S. Embassy in Tirana said.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the embassy said the talks focused on deepening cooperation in defense, expanding trade and investment, and strengthening efforts to combat organized crime.

The embassy described the meeting as part of the broader strategic partnership between the two countries.

“A strong partnership is measured by what two nations achieve together,” the embassy said in its statement.

The meeting comes as Albania and the United States continue cooperation in defense and security, alongside efforts to expand economic ties and address organized crime.
