The Rector of the University of Tirana has announced the temporary suspension of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Dorina Hoxha, pending the completion of key institutional procedures related to the selection of academic representatives within Albania’s justice system.

According to the Rector, the decision is based on the Higher Education Law and the university’s internal regulations, citing the need to preserve institutional impartiality and avoid potential conflicts of interest during the election process for members of the High Judicial Council (KLGJ) and the High Prosecutorial Council (KLP).

Under the decision, the duties of the Dean will be carried out temporarily by Prof. Dr. Skënder Kaçupi, who has been appointed acting head of the Faculty of Law until further notice.
