US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim has declared this Friday that opponents of justice reform in Albania are increasing efforts to undermine Vetting.

According to Ambassador Kim, those engaging in threats, intimidation, slander, corrupt inducements should stop. She also mentioned the fact that Pres. Biden made clear in the National Security Study Memorandum of June 3, 2021 that the fight against corruption is a core national security interest of the United States.

"As justice reform is beginning to produce more & more results, opponents are increasing efforts to undermine key elements, including vetting. Those engaging in threats, intimidation, slander, corrupt inducements should stop. Your actions are not as hidden as you think. Pres. Biden made clear in the National Security Study Memorandum of June 3, 2021 that the fight against corruption is a core national security interest of the United States. US will continue to strongly support the implementation of justice reform in Albania," declared Ambassador Kim.
