9 Apprehended at Tirana Prosecution’s Request Over Criminal Group Selling Weapons, Explosives, and Ammunition

Investigations by Tirana Prosecution Office, in cooperation with the State Police, led to the arrest of nine people, and the declaration of two others as wanted in connection with a criminal group involved in the sale of firearms, explosives, and ammunition in the capital.

Several months of proactive investigations culminated in the arrest of nine individuals—M.V., E.M., F.Z., K.B., D.J., F.G., U.M., L.M., and K.M., aged 21–35—and the designation of two others, K.V. and B.A., as wanted.

During the course of the investigations, seven firearms (four pistols and three automatic rifles), ammunition, and other items relevant to the proceedings were seized as material evidence from six individuals. Investigations remain ongoing to identify other people involved in the criminal group and to fully document its unlawful activities.

Meanwhile, during the investigative period aimed at striking the criminal activities of this group, a total of 17 firearms, 4 molds of explosives, a large quantity of ammunition, 4 vehicles, and 13 mobile phones were seized.

Investigations are ongoing to locate and apprehend the individuals who have been declared wanted.
