2021 State Budget to Focus on Healthcare, Reconstruction
Albania’s budget for 2021 will be oriented towards healthcare, reconstruction and economic recovery of the country, informed Wednesday the Chairwoman of the Economy Committee, Milva Ekonomi.
In a statement for the media, Ekonomi revealed that ALL 1.2 billion will be put at the disposal of this budget and healthcare will have an “historic growth†of 23 percent.
Another issue addressed was also the one of coronavirus medications’ reimbursement, about which she said that the family doctors will issue the prescription for reimbursement and these drugs issuance will start from December 1, 2020.
“It had to be oriented towards three big dimensions: health, reconstruction and economic recovery. With these three dimensions began the planning of this draft budget and innovation is the weight of health, which we have a historic increase by 23%. The amount of money that will be put at disposal is ALL 1.2 billion. Another important sector that was supported is infrastructure. Another dimension are the sectors that have contributed to the economy during this period.
An important sector is also the one of energy, to which there was attention. Also for educators is thought the increase of salary by 15%, so even they benefit from this budget. An important thing in this budget is the fact that this budget comes with a minimum wage, which goes to 30.000 new ALL for each person. The budget took into consideration also the help given to the oilmen, who will receive 40.000 new ALL, adding to this salary the contribution that the government undertakesâ€, explained among other things the Economy Committee’s Chair.
