A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Tirana on suspicion of selling slingshots and metal balls to protesters allegedly intended to target police officers and public institutions, authorities said.

The arrest was made as part of a police operation codenamed “Infrastructure.” 

Officers searching a warehouse linked to the suspect discovered more than 450 undocumented items, including 239 drones, 75 hunting slingshots, mobile phones, GPS tracking devices, surveillance equipment and electronic accessories.

Investigators said the suspect was caught allegedly selling 30 slingshots and metal balls to protesters. The investigation is ongoing to establish the full extent of the suspected illegal activity and identify other individuals involved.
