Albania-France Relations Are Very Good; PM Rama
Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama declared this Tuesday that the diplomatic relations between Albania and France are very good.
At the press conference with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the Head of Government added that this year there are 80.000 French people visited Albania so far, an indicator that shows the improved image of the country in the international arena.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama said that until a while ago, Albania was in the news mainly in France for bad things, while now, the number of visitors that has seen an admirable increase shows the opposite in the image that Albania has in the world.
"It's been 100 years, more than 100 years, of diplomatic relations between France and Albania, and the strategic partnership agreement that we have signed is a cornerstone, on which we will continue to build a long path of cooperation. We desire and have desired Europe and how much Europe is connected with the name of France and how much the name of France is connected with Europe.
Today we have an encouraging data, 80 thousand French have visited Albania so far and the number can be increased. The greater presence of tourists is a strong reason to believe that in this commitment, the basis of connection and recognition is being strengthened by people and citizens.
Until a few years ago, Albania made news in France, for generally wrong reasons, today the fact that 80 thousand French people come to Albania for vacation is news for better reasons. And for this I want to thank the president, then the French government, who have been patient in the difficult process that we have done internally against criminality, against illegal immigration and have been willing to cooperate with us", said PM Rama.
