Albania's Special Court of Appeal Against Corruption and Organized Crime has changed the security measure for Mariglen Qato, the former director of the Territorial Protection Inspectorate (IMT) at the Municipality of Tirana.

According to confidential sources, the court replaced Qato's pre-trial detention with house arrest.

Qato is under investigation in the case widely known as the "5D" case, one of Albania's high-profile anti-corruption investigations. 

Authorities have not publicly disclosed any new details regarding the ongoing proceedings.
