Democrat Asks MP to Not Attend Alibeaj’s Meet on New President

Democrat MP Tritan Shehu, a supporter of Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha’s Commission for the Re-establishment of the Democratic Party (DP) has called on colleagues this Thursday morning to "not be part of Rama-Alibeaj's evil intention".

This reaction by Shehu came after Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP) parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj decided to convene at 12:00 the MPs on a meeting to talk about the process of selecting the new Head of State, the progress so far but also how the process will proceed. (READ HERE)

"Dear MPs of the Democratic Party, do not be part of Rama-Alibeaj's evil intention:

- A pseudo-mini opposition for the SP to get the necessary 84 votes!

This was yesterday's conclusion of that political comedy shown at the Presidency of the Assembly, directed by the "stick" of Balla and with a "chorister" entourage in the background.

Alibeaj, at the very end of that "meeting", deconstructed its essence when he spoke of an "opposition to reach 84 votes".

So an "opposition" with 7-10 MPs, in addition to the available votes of the SP, to reach the qualified number of votes.

Exactly, as much as Rama needs to elect a President disguised as a liberal, why not even "proposed" in terms of appearance by Alibeja & Co, if he would obtain 20 signatures of proposers

And this could happen in the second or third round, if Alibeaj & Co will manage to "fish" these 20 opposition signatures aware of the great damage they are doing to democracy in exchange for…

… Or that they still do not manage to see the reality and clearly understand the purpose of this anti-democratic game, which is being played in the service of strengthening this regime.

So, please do not be part of what would eventually separate you from your democratic electorate.

And an MP without an electorate is not an MP, he can only be a salaried… but he will soon have to leave it as well" stated Shehu.

In the discussions on Wednesday in the headquarters of the Assembly between the leader of the Socialist party group Taulant Balla and Enkelejd Alibeaj, it was agreed that the proposals for the new name of the president be brought by the opposition until the third round.

According to Alibeaj, this right is given to them by the Constitution and not by the majority, while Balla stressed that the opposition should consult the names and bring them for discussion.
