Edi Paloka, First MP against Vetting Bodies' Extension
In a joint statement yesterday, the US and the EU called on the members of the Assembly to vote in the parliamentary session on Thursday for the extension of the mandate of the Vetting bodies.
Regarding this statement, the Democratic MP, Edi Paloka, reacted and openly expressed his position against the extension of the mandate for the Vetting bodies. Paloka said that anyone who will vote for the extension of Vetting's mandate was simply a servant of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Unable to be present tomorrow at the parliamentary session where it will be discussed and voted for the extension of the term of the Vetting Commission, I am making public my position "AGAINST"!
Whoever votes to extend the life of a commission composed of close relatives of the government, who in all his activity has made political decisions, turning the justice reform into a farce, is simply a servant of Rama in the full capture of justice! MPs who are in that Parliament with the vote of the Democrats, can not be part of such a process," stated Paloka.
