The appeal of the GJKKO (Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime) has given the decision for Emiliano Shullazi and his collaborators accused of a structured criminal group. At the end of the hearing, the trial panel decided to sentence Emiliano Shullazi to 14 years in prison. 

The GJKKO also sentenced Gilmando Dani and Endrit Qyqjen to 12 years in prison, Endrit Zela to 10 years in prison and Blerim Shullazi to 9 years in prison. The trial took place under strict security measures, starting at 13:00 this Friday. 

Present at the hearing were Emiliano Shullazi, Gilmando Dani, Endrit Qyqja Endrit Zela while Blerim Shullazi was absent after he had submitted a statement stating that he was ill. According to the court, Blerim Shullazi was not visited by the prison doctor and for this reason his request for postponement of the hearing is not accepted. 

The court also rejected Shullazi's request for the disqualification of the panel chaired by Miliana Muça and members Artur Kalaja and Daniela Shirka. 

The trial against Emiliano Shullazi and his associates, which started in December 2018 on Appeal, has had an unprecedented delay, where over 40 hearings have been postponed. 

We recall that Emiljano Shullazi, Gilmando Dani, Endrit Zela, Endrit Qyqa and Blerim Shullazi were sentenced in December 2018 by the Serious Crimes Court to 55 years in prison for the criminal offenses "Creation of a group of criminal structures", "Fines" and "Threats". due to duty ”. Apparently the GJKKO Appeal has upheld the decision given by Serious Crimes in 2018.
