Muslims Gather in Tirana’s Skanderbeg Square to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr

Muslim believers gathered this morning in Skanderbeg Square to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
March 20 signals the conclusion of Ramadan, a sacred period during which believers fast from dawn to dusk and dedicate themselves to prayer, reflection, and acts of charity. After a month of devotion and sacrifice, thousands came together in the heart of the Albanian capital to observe the ritual prayer, turning the square into a space of unity, spirituality, and celebration.
Ramadan, known for its emphasis on self-discipline and compassion, is considered one of the most important periods in the Islamic calendar. With its conclusion, believers celebrate Eid al-Fitr, expressing gratitude for strength and perseverance throughout the month.
The name Eid al-Fitr is associated with the act of giving — as Muslims traditionally donate to those in need before the holiday, ensuring that everyone can take part in the celebration. This spirit of solidarity underscores the deeper meaning of the day.
Eid al-Fitr also represents a moment of togetherness for the Muslim community, as families gather, share meals, and reflect on the values of patience and generosity cultivated during Ramadan.
On this special occasion, the Newsbomb editorial team extends its wishes to all Muslim believers and to all Albanians: Eid Mubarak
