Prison Director Surrenders After Cannabis Cultivation Discovery
The director of Rrogozhina Prison, Bilal Hasa, has surrendered to police after being declared wanted in connection with the discovery of thousands of cannabis plants at a property linked to him.
Law enforcement authorities uncovered approximately 4,000 cannabis plants during a search operation carried out in the village of Kurtaj, within the Gjocaj administrative unit. Police found two indoor facilities in the basement of a warehouse, specifically ????????????? with specialized lighting systems designed for cannabis cultivation.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the property where the plants were discovered is owned by Hasa, raising suspicions of his involvement in the illegal activity.
However, according to sources, Hasa has denied the allegations, stating that he had no knowledge of the cannabis cultivation. He reportedly told investigators that he had not visited the property for several months prior to the police operation.
Authorities have not yet disclosed further details regarding charges, while investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the case and any potential accomplices.
