President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has honored Monday some of the prominent figures of Albanian cinematography, on the occasion of the birthday of Albanian cinematography, as he expressed his gratitude for them and their valuable contribution.

Through a solemn ceremony, the President praised the director Xhanfize Keko together with the directors Kristaq Dhamo, Andi Keko, Viktor Gjika and the actress Edi Luarasi with the decoration "Honor of the Nation" for the contribution to Albanian art.

In his greeting speech to the families and personalities of cinematography, present at the solemn ceremony, the Head of State said that they managed to deliver extraordinary, inspiring messages beyond the false ideological facades by presenting to the public films engraved in the memory of all.

“Honored artists and personalities of the Albanian cinematography, dear family members, friends and guests, I am very happy that we are together today in these moments to appreciate, also with the occasion of the birthday of the Albanian cinematography, exactly some of its leading figures and creators.

About seven decades ago, the Albanian film studio was born, which would mark not only a historic event, but that brought also an extraordinary artistic, cultural, educational creation”, stated President Meta among other things.
