Prominent Actor Kristofori Passes Away at 78

The prominent actor Anastas Kristofori dies at the age of 78. The actor is known for the role of Pericles in the comedy 'Palace 176'. His funeral will take place the next day in Vuno, his birthplace. 

Kristofori was born on November 28, 1943 in the village of Vuno in the district of Vlora. After graduating from the Higher Institute of Arts (Academy of Arts) in 1970, he began working with the Professional Troupe of the National Theater in 1971. From his performances, we can mention the role of Mr. Delphi in the drama "Arturo Ui" by Bertold Brecht, the role of Secretary of the Prefect in the drama "Prefect" by Besim Levonja, the role of Apostle in the drama "Communists" by Ruzhdi Pulaha, the role of Pericles in the comedy "Palace 176” by Adelina Balashi and many others. 

His most recent role was in 2009 in the TV drama "Prisons full, freedom at the door". In cinematography, his first role was in 1976, the role of Stavri, the Economist of the Vorfnore Shelter in the film "Poppies on the Walls". in 1982, the role of Mr. Antonio, the Questor of Tirana in the film "Decision" in 1984, the role of Mr. Mavrojanis in the film "Mission across the sea" in 1988, etc. His latest role will be the role of Perikli in the movie "He is coming" in 1998, a television sequel to the famous comedy "Palace 176" by Adelina Balashi. For his artistic merits Anastas Kristofori has been awarded the high title "Merited Artist".
