Tirana Police Arrests Three for Counterfeit Banknotes
Three people have been arrested by the police in Tirana after being accused of throwing counterfeit banknotes of 50 dollars in the market, deceiving various commercial entities.
Viard Kotori, 29, Etmond Dokushi, 32, and Ervin Kamolli, 32, were handcuffed. The police announces that the materials related to this case have already been passed to the Prosecution at the Tirana Judicial District Court, for further procedural actions.
"Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Tirana, after a thorough investigative work of several weeks, based on information obtained through operational channels that some citizens, in cooperation with each other, circulated through various commercial entities, suspected counterfeit banknotes, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "50 Dollars".
As part of this operation, the following citizens were detained: V. K., 29 years old, resident in Tirana, E. D., 32 years old, resident in Kavaja, and E. K., 32 years old, resident in Rrogozhina, for the criminal offense "Counterfeiting of coins", committed in collaboration. These citizens, in cooperation with each other, are suspected of circulating 50-dollar banknotes in various commercial entities, in Tirana and other cities. Work continues for the full documentation of the criminal activity of these citizens. The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court, for further procedural actions", informed the Police.
