Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku presented this Wednesday the new Director of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, Kreshnik Bajraktari.

According to her, this directory has become a model  of success.

“Starting in 2019, a series of structural changes began within your company, which undoubtedly brought faster service, but above all quality service, and this was not isolated only to the Central Directorate or the Tirana Directorate, but happened in every regional directorate.

Then, over time, we saw that there was something more to be done. It was the archives. The archives that I remember visiting in 2020, because it was the time of the pandemic, I visited the Fier archive and I remember the ceiling of the first floor, which was arched by the weight of the archive that was on the second floor and the danger that that building posed. Then I visited the offices in Laç with Blendin, where the water reached up to one meter and the archive files were under water.

So we decided to undertake a long process to create the necessary logistical assets where you would work in optimal conditions and all documentation was kept as it should be. We did a very good job of deregistering all those vehicles that were not in use for a long time. We did a good job of opening offices and not only regional directorates, as we had to save the time of vehicle drivers, who had to travel for example from Burreli to go to the regional office in Dibra, to receive services, hours of travel, fuel consumption and everything else," said Balluku.
