Large wildfires have engulfed forested areas near the villages of Madhesh and Lundre, in the Ulëz administrative unit of Albania’s Mat Municipality.

Flames are spreading rapidly and have moved dangerously close to residential areas, raising concerns for several families living in the area.

Authorities are reportedly preparing to evacuate some families from the most threatened zones as the fire continues to advance.
