Albania reported 34 wildfire outbreaks across the country over the past 24 hours, with five fires still active and two others under monitoring, according to the Ministry of Defense.

A total of 481 operational personnel and 44 firefighting vehicles have been deployed to manage the situation. The response has also included 105 members of the Albanian Armed Forces, two military firefighting vehicles, three helicopters and one Air Tractor aircraft.

The active fires are concentrated in the Tirana and Dibër regions.

In Mount Dajti, firefighting operations are continuing after three fires reignited. A total of 25 firefighters and civil protection personnel, along with 20 Armed Forces members, have been deployed to the area.

In the Dibër region, active fires have been reported in Qafë e Helmës, Vajkal, Sllatinë and Komsi. Some 61 personnel, including 30 Armed Forces members, are currently working in Vajkal, while 78 personnel have been deployed in Sllatinë. Another 25 Armed Forces personnel are assisting operations in Komsi. Authorities said there is currently no threat to populated areas.

In Elbasan, fires on Mount Dardha and Mount Qukës remain under surveillance and are not considered a threat to nearby communities.

Significant firefighting efforts were also carried out on Friday in Tërbaç and Vranisht, in the Himarë area, involving ground crews, two helicopters and an Air Tractor aircraft. In Xhyrë, Librazhd, a military helicopter was also deployed. Both fires have been declared extinguished.
