Judge Who Saved Dritan Dajti from Life Imprisonment Dismissed
Independent Qualification Commission (IQC) has decided this Sunday to dismiss the Shkodra Appellate Judge, Aleks Nikolli.
The judge, according to IQC, has had numerous property problems. The trial panel that conducted the re-evaluation process for Judge Alks Nikolli consisted of Brunilda Bekteshi, Olsi Komici and Lulzim Hamitaj.
Aleks Nikolli is one of the judges who saved Dritan Dajti from life imprisonment, convicted for the murder of 4 police officers, Martyrs of the Fatherland.
Nikolli graduated in law at the University "Luigj Gurakuqi" in Shkodra and from 2001 to 2004 he completed his studies at the School of Magistrates.
In 2015, he received the title "Doctor of Science" at the European University of Tirana. From 2004 to 2016 he served as a judge in the Shkodra Judicial District Court and from 2016 as a judge in the Shkodra Court of Appeal.
